Using Tree Inequality to teach Climate Justice in Middle School

What was tried in the classroom?

After discussions of climate change and a presentation regarding tree cover inequality students participated in an online discussion board giving ideas about what they could do.

The next day they created small posters to share with their parents about the importance of trees and reasons to plant trees.

How’d it go?

Students really resonated with the idea and some families responded by planting trees for earth day!
