Exploring Climate Science through Storylines at Padilla Bay

Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in exploring how our changing climate is altering our local communities and habitats. Participants will learn about PEI’s Solutions Oriented Learning Storylines and Padilla Bay’s educational resources, as well as participate in a experimental design activity featuring Eel Grass.

This in-person opportunity is for K-12 classroom teachers within NWESD 189 and will be held at the National Estuarine Research Reserve.

Participants who attend the entire session will receive:

  • 6 Washington State approved STEM Clock Hours
  • $50 stipend
