Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners for a deep dive into Urban Forestry, focusing on the Yakima Valley.
Participants will learn about the Urban Forestry Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline, designed around six guiding principles: Indigenous perspectives, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases, and opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.
This in-person opportunity is for K-12 classroom teachers in ESD 105 and will be held at the Yakima Area Arboretum.
NO LUNCH PROVIDED. It is recommended that you bring your own lunch. Please be prepared to spend part of the day outdoors; dress in layers and wear appropriate footwear for walking on uneven or unpaved surfaces.
