Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners for a deep dive into Urban Forestry, focusing on the Yakima Valley.

Participants will learn about the Urban Forestry Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline, designed around six guiding principles: Indigenous perspectives, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases, and opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.

This in-person opportunity is for K-12 classroom teachers in ESD 105 and will be held at the Yakima Area Arboretum.

Event Notes:
NO LUNCH PROVIDED. It is recommended that you bring your own lunch. Please be prepared to spend part of the day outdoors; dress in layers and wear appropriate footwear for walking on uneven or unpaved surfaces.

6 Washington State approved STEM Clock Hours

$100 participation stipend. The opportunity to earn a $200 implementation stipend.
