What is the connection between climate change and wildfires? Are smokey summers our new norm? How will the changing climate specifically impact Eastern Washington communities in the near future? Washington Green Schools and Northeast Washington Educational Service District are convening scientists and educators to investigate climate science topics, make connections to local climate-related phenomena like the impact of fires on air quality, and identify Next Generation Science Standards learning opportunities for K-12 students.

Coffee, tea, and lunch provided. Please bring a laptop and a writing utensil. A reusable cup or mug is encouraged. Teachers will receive 6 free STEM clock hours.
