Washington Green Schools will present, virtually, a STEM Seminar: Agriculture and Climate Change focused on the connection between climate change and agriculture. Participants will learn how the changing climate specifically impacts Eastern Washington communities. The event will host scientists working in the field to investigate climate science topics, make connections to local climate-related phenomena like the impact of agriculture on air quality, and identify Next Generation Science Standards learning opportunities for students grades 6-12.
Three synchronous sessions and some asynchronous work will provide 8 STEM Clock Hours for participants. Washington Green Schools will be covering the cost of STEM Clock Hours.
Synchronous Sessions: October 20 from 4pm – 6pm, October 27 from 4pm – 6pm, and November 17, 2020 4pm – 5pm with some asynchronous and implementation work in between meeting sessions.
