Description:
Participants will learn about the Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline format, which includes: local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, assessment, and a solutions-oriented approach to climate science topics with opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.
This six-hour, online workshop will provide participants an overview of each storyline, independent exploration through an asynchronous task, and a collaborative session to help set up success with implementing one of the storylines in their classrooms.
Event Notes:
The first session will be held on Wednesday, March 1st from 4:00-6:00 PM and the second session will be held on Wednesday, March 15th from 4:00-6:00 PM.
Stipend:
Those who attend and meet the implementation requirements will qualify for a $300 stipend.
STEM Clock Hours:
6 Washington State approved STEM clock hours.
