Attention K-12 Formal Educators in the Puget Sound ESD* region!
Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners for a deep dive into Urban Forestry, focusing on the Puget Sound region. Participants will learn about the Urban Forestry Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline, designed around six guiding principles: Indigenous perspectives, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases, and opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.
This workshop includes two synchronous Zoom sessions and asynchronous learning in between:
- May 19, 2022: 4 – 6 pm on Zoom
- Asynchronous work: approximately two hours
- June 2, 2022: 4 – 6 pm on Zoom
Participants who attend both online workshops and complete the asynchronous work will receive:
- 6 Washington state approved STEM clock hours
- A $200 participation stipend
