Join Pacific Education Institute (PEI) and our ClimeTime partners for a deep dive into Wildfire and Forest Management. Participants will learn about the Fire-themed Solutions Oriented Learning Storyline, designed around six guiding principles: Indigenous perspectives, local anchoring phenomena, culturally responsive practices, NGSS three-dimensional student growth measures, a solutions-oriented approach to drawing down greenhouse gases, and opportunities to elevate student voices in their communities.
This in-person opportunity is for K-12 classroom teachers North Central Washington (NCESD-171) and will be held at the Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center in Entiat, WA.
Event Notes:
NO LUNCH PROVIDED. It is recommended that you bring your own lunch; the area is remote with few nearby restaurant options. We will be spending part of the day outdoors on the interpretive trail; please dress in layers and with appropriate footwear for un-paved surfaces.

Stipend:
$100 participation stipend. The opportunity to earn a $200 implementation stipend.
