Hosted by Gonzaga University’s Center for Climate, Society, and the Environment and supported by the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) ClimeTime program, this professional learning workshop will help Washington State elementary teachers to more confidently incorporate climate literacy into their classes (grades K-5).

Cost: free to any Washington State elementary school teacher

Facilitator: Dr. Brian G. Henning, Ph.D. Professor of Philosophy and Environmental Studies & Director of the Gonzaga Center for Climate, Society, and the Environment

Participants who attend the full workshop will be eligible for (incentives available to Washington State teachers):

  • $125 stipend
  • 6 STEM continuing education clock hours
  • a book on teaching climate change
  • a meal credit via a food delivery service (where available)
